Honestly, the way it frames the feeding area makes the whole corner look tidier, not just protected. Cleanup is a quick wipe since nothing gets past the edges, and it feels sturdy enough to handle daily use. My floors are finally staying dry and crumb-free.

The raised edges catch every splash and crumb, so I'm not wiping the tile after every meal anymore. It's sturdy enough to stay put while my dog goes to town on his bowl.

Our kitchen floor finally stays dry when the dogs eat—the raised rim does a great job of keeping water and kibble in one spot. It also makes the feeding corner look a lot more tidy and intentional, which I didn't expect from a placemat.
